SPECIAL FEATURESSpecial wattage and voltage-some applications may require special ratings, but usually standard strip heaters will suffice if applied on an alternate voltage.
Without mounting tabs in confined areas, it may be possible to use more heaters or longer heated lengths if mounting tabs are removed. Heaters can be cut off 3/4 inch from each end at the factory. Specify “without tabs”. |

ACCESSORIESSecondary Insulators for 440 Volts or HigherThe secondary insulator increases the space between heater and surface for clearance at higher voltages. One insulator assembly is required at each end of the heater. Two types of secondary insulators are offered in sets of two insulator assemblies. The insulator shown in figure 2 is for use where mounting space is limited to 1/2 inch longer than the strip heater. The insulator is designed for use with 17/32" X 11/16" mounting slots in the strip heater tabs. *Order secondary insulator catalog number SHI-2. The second type of secondary insulator shown in figure 3 is for use with stock strip heaters. The mounting space must be 3 inches longer than the strip heater. Order secondary insulator catalog number SHI-1. *Please note when strip heater will be used with SHl-2 insulator.
