LOCK-NUT ASSEMBLY

A take-up nut assembly is used to install a standard pipe plug immersion heater in a thin-wall open-top tank. It eliminates the necessity of welding or brazing a pipe coupling or spud into the tank wall. A hole of proper size is cut (with chassis punch) in the tank wall. The heater is inserted through the wall and the take-up nut assembly is installed from inside the tank.
